Village of Roscoe Ordinance Section 111 requires the following information be submitted to apply for a solicitor license.
- Solicitor license application signed and dated by employer and applicant
- Copy of your Drivers License or State ID
- Fingerprint based criminal history check (You must provide them with ORI # ILL15651L)
The two most often used fingerprint background vendors in the stateline area are BioMetric Impressions and Rockford Detective Agency.
Fees. The fee for each license to engage as a peddler, solicitor, or canvasser shall be $25.00 for a license, which shall be valid for a period of five consecutive days, or fraction thereof. A fee of $5.00 shall be paid for each additional day, which exceeds the five-day period that the activity is conducted within the village. The maximum fee paid each calendar year for each licensee under this section shall be $200.00 per calendar year, and there shall be no maximum number of days per calendar year that a licensee may receive a license under the provisions of this section.
